We Remember

We remember the veterans.  The men and women who fought and are fighting for us and what we know as freedom.

We remember ALL the people – past, present and future… who have fought for, who are fighting and who will fight for their families… their people… their culture and their land.  These brave people stand up – more often than not, with their lives at stake – for the people they love and places they call home.

In the end, we ALL just want peace.

Be Kind.  Be Respectful.  Be Considerate.  Be Educated.  – and there will be no more war.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

– John McCrae, 1915
